TTD Welcomes New GM

Kevin Barber Assumes Role As New General Manager

We welcome Kevin to our team!

Kevin Barber, TTD’s new General Manager, will continue the great service and support of the previous General Manager, Jim Smith. Remaining focused on TTD’s mission of ‘Powering Your Neighborhood,’ Kevin is particularly intrigued about their level of community involvement. “TTD is not just an electric utility,” Kevin says. “They are so much more”.

Kevin states it is important that the residents of East Norwalk realize the uniqueness of their town – the schools, the beaches, the relaxed feel, right down to the TTD folks. That is why “I will do everything in my power to keep the lights on for East Norwalk.”

On one hand, Kevin will provide ongoing direction and leadership to the team. On the other, he will allow them to “go off and do what they need to do on their own.” He already feels part of the TTD family and is also aware of a variety of issues that may affect the District (such as the WalkBridge Project). “We want to make sure that we are moving forward, and in
the right direction.”

Kevin is a regular family guy from Shelton, Connecticut, married for over 23 years with three children. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Kevin’s diverse background in Information Technology (IT), accounting,
customer service and having worked with another electric/water utility gives him an excellent base of knowledge as he comes to East Norwalk with an open mind.
