When Melissa (“Missy the hair cutter”) Conti – longtime resident of 06855 – opened her doors in August of 1993, her focus was on the client and their individual sense of style. And you guessed correctly – the same mission remains in place to this very day. In fact, most of Missy’s clients then are still her clients today.
From the beginning of time, Missy has been a passionate stylist. “I worked both at Stamford’s Rich Forum and Palace Theatre for many years, creating the looks for many of the stars and performers there. I’ve done every show, and met every actor. I started Seaport Salon with 89 clients from those relationships.”
Missy takes pride in her work, but also in her experienced staff, many of whom have been at Seaport for over 10 years, and former salon owners themselves. “I keep a family atmosphere here. We’re a tight team.
I feel like I’ve raised some of my clients, cutting their hair when they were kids, and now some of their children’s, and even grandchildren’s hair.”
While Seaport Salon offers all of the services found in most salons — cut, color, highlights, weaves, styling and straightening — whether there’s a wedding, prom, graduation or a cut ‘n’ curl, Missy and Seaport Salon emphasize creativity.
