Due to the ongoing pandemic, the annual ratepayer meeting originally scheduled for March 3, 2021 has been postponed and will be rescheduled within 90 days.
After consulting with the District’s Counsel, it was recommended that the Commission declare a Local Public Health and Civil Preparedness Emergency for the Third Taxing District, thus allowing the Chair to authorize the rescheduling of the Annual Ratepayer Meeting. This is being done for the safety of the ratepayers, Commissioners, staff and anyone who would be participating in the meeting.
Therefore, at a special Commission meeting held on February 17, 2021, the Commission approved a Declaration of Local Public Health and Civil Preparedness Emergencies for The Third Taxing District of the City of Norwalk (see link/button to Declaration below).
Third Taxing District will announce the new meeting date once it has been scheduled. Please check the website for any updates. The Commission and staff thank you for your understanding in this matter.
