On Thursday, January 4th, a historic “bomb cyclone” began all through the Northeast at 1am and continued until 6pm that evening, leaving many inches of snow on the roads, cars and trees.
The Third Taxing District Electric Utility did a great job to keep power on for the East Norwalk community during the storm.
TTD’s General Manager, Kevin Barber added “TTD urges customers to be careful and safe during times of extreme cold temperatures, especially with the use of portable space heaters. Space heaters should be plugged directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip which may overheat and cause a fire. Space heaters must be placed at least three feet from anything that can burn.”
