When Virginia Tartaglia opened Sassy Scissors Salon in 1998, she was so proud to carry on her father’s legacy.
Sassy Scissors has grown to support a large following of local and not-so-local customers – women and men – who rely on Virginia to cut, color and style their hair, and make them look great.
Virginia, born and raised in East Norwalk, not only truly loves what she does, she also loves her customers. “My customers are like my second family,” says Ms. Tartaglia. “We always have wonderful conversations, too.“
And it didn’t start there. Virginia’s father Patsy started Patsy’s Barber Shop on Winfield Street, after moving from Italy in 1960. After 40 years in business, Mr. Tartaglia retired in 2000. “My dad was everything to me. That’s how and why I came to do what I do, and love what I do.”
