Let’s SPRING into action with some
important electricity safey tips.

Don’t Play with Electrical Outlets or Cords
Never put anything into an electrical outlet or play with electrical cords, no matter how curious you might be. If you see a damaged cord or plug, tell an adult.

Stay Away from Power Lines
If you see a power line on the ground or overhead, don’t go near it! It’s dangerous and can cause serious injury. Always stay at least 10 feet away.

Don’t Touch Electrical Appliances with Wet Hands
Always make sure your hands are dry before using electrical appliances like hairdryers, toasters, or anything that plugs into the wall.

Report Electrical Hazards
If you notice anything unusual, like sparks coming from an appliance or a burning smell from a light fixture, let an adult know immediately. Don’t try to fix the problem yourself.

Respect Electrical Tools
Always ask an adult before using electrical tools or appliances, such as a vacuum cleaner or power tools. These should only be used under supervision
