Third Taxing District Earns High Marks Among Customers

TTD Exceeds Industry Benchmarks in 2015 Utility Survey

Norwalk, CT (January 20, 2016) – Norwalk’s Third Taxing District, (“TTD”) announces results of the comprehensive customer satisfaction survey conducted by an independent research firm, SDS Research (“SDS”), in 2015.

In contrast to recently publicized results in a J.D. Power Survey for the area’s larger electric utilities, Eversource and United Illuminating, TTD’s performance earned an overall confidence rating of 95%.

SDS performed a total of 300 telephone interviews with TTD rate-payers (261 Residential, 39 Commercial). Proprietary Industry Benchmark comparisons were utilized for the survey including, Overall Satisfaction, Reliability, Customer Service, Employees, Value, Communication and Loyalty. The Industry Benchmarks are compared to research performed by SDS in the previous 18 months, compiling data from approximately 50 utility companies around the country.
