As part of the Third Taxing District Electric Department’s capital improvement plan, TTD will be initiating a transformer replacement project this spring. The purpose of this project is to replace old distribution transformers and improve system reliability. This project will begin in early April and will run throughout the summer months.
As with many projects to improve system reliability, customers may be impacted with short term power interruptions. While our goal is to limit any service interruptions, some are necessary to allow TTD line crews to safely perform the transformer changeout.
Service interruptions are expected to last no longer than 2 hours. TTD will make every attempt to notify customers in advance before work is performed.
