On July 9th, Norwalk’s Third Taxing District (“TTD”) hosted their most recent public forum to discuss the process and progress of developing a master plan for the district-funded library – the East Norwalk Association Library. The event took place at The Marvin, and welcomed TTD ratepayers and other members of the East Norwalk community.
The collaborative discussion was led by the master plan consultant, Alex Cohen of Aaron Cohen Associates, LLC, who was on-hand once again to answer questions about the progress and goals of the master plan. Attendees were given a chance to see preliminary progress on design options for library space, and were encouraged to provide input and ask questions about the plans. Some potential design elements included different configurations for the main and lower levels of the building, including designated locations for teen, children and meeting areas.
Results of TTD’s online survey have been vital to the master plan process, and East Norwalk residents who have not yet participated are urged to complete the simple survey before time runs out.
