David Brown (“Dave”) was elected as a Commissioner of Norwalk’s Third Taxing District in 1997. Dave has spent many years serving the East Norwalk community, including in town-related and various elected positions. He is passionate about the neighborhood and actively participates in local events.
Charles Yost (“Charlie”) has been serving as a TTD Commissioner since 2011. Charlie brings a wealth of Norwalk expertise to his role, having served on the Board for many Norwalk-based organizations, including the Historical Commission, Communities in Schools, Planning Commission, Board of Estimate and Taxation, and the East Norwalk Business Association, to name a few. Charlie’s lifelong interest in beach and water activities is a natural fit in the East Norwalk community.
Debora Goldstein became TTD’s newest Commissioner after winning the district election in November, 2013. Deb immersed herself in East Norwalk’s community and civic activities after moving to the neighborhood in 2010. Professionally, her background includes experience in customer service, financial reporting and regulatory compliance. In her spare time, she can be found visiting Calf Pasture Beach, enjoying the area’s annual festivals and exploring the rich history of Norwalk.
Dr. Michael Intrieri has been an active resident of Norwalk for 40 years, including his roles with the Norwalk Exchange Club and South Norwalk Boat Club, and as an elected member of the Norwalk District C Republican Town Committee. He was also a member of the Oak Hills Park Commission for nine years, serving two years as Chairman. Mike also serves on the Board of Trustees for Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County, and was an Organizer of Patriot National Bank. Mike has organized numerous neighborhood events, including entertainment for residents of The Marvin, and he is committed to helping TTD utilize resources that will benefit its customers. Dr. Intrieri earned his Doctorate from Nova University, is a licensed real estate broker and Notary Public.
James Smith (“Jim”) is a seasoned, forward-thinking leader who joined TTD as General Manager in July of 2012 after a nationwide search. Jim has 32 years of experience running municipal utilities, including as CFO and General Manager of Middleboro Gas & Electric in Massachusetts, Utility Director and City Manager for the city of College Park, GA, and most recently as General Manager for the Frankfort Plant Board in Frankfort, KY.
His passion for East Norwalk community is evident in his commitment to consistently improving services of TTD. Jim is proud of the company’s reputation for providing unparalleled service, very low rates and ability to quickly restore power when Mother Nature strikes.
Fun fact: TTD restored power to its customers within 72 hours after the end of Superstorm Sandy.
Ron Scofield is the Assistant General Manager of TTD, and has been with the utility for 19 years. He is primarily responsible for managing internal operations, including billing, customer service and meter readings and operations.
Ron also enthusiastically handles the East Norwalk events that TTD sponsors in support of the community. When Ron isn’t organizing summer concerts at the beach, he can be found getting ready for the annual Holiday tree lighting in Governor Fitch Park at Rogers Square where residents are invited to donate to the Annual Food and Toy Drive, benefiting families in Norwalk.
Fun fact: The long-standing, but ailing, tree in Governor Fitch Park was replaced with a new tree in 2011.
