Gus Mandrozos’ love for his business shines through.

Gus is most certainly a talented barber and dedicated to his customers, but this did not come by accident. Gus grew up in Norwalk, and in the family business. His dad owned Stella’s Pizzeria Restaurant in Enfield, and, earlier than that, Hope Street Donuts, Stamford. “That’s where I learned my work ethic,” said Gus. “We worked 12-13 hour days.” “I saw the way my dad ran his business. I got some business cards and I started to cut my friends’ hair in high school. I asked my sisters to stay off the phone so I woudn’t miss a haircut.” Gus never looked back.

Gus’s Barbershop has been in business for 12 years. Gus, owner and licensed master barber, started in Norwalk on New Canaan Avenue and has been here on Van Zant for nine years. He most certainly has a large following of customers, over all these years, including notable actors and NFL stars… and from other states!

Gus’s offers any look or style – from a country look to a rock ’n roll look, to an urban-style haircut, business cut, hot towel shaves… including regularly-scheduled barbering. Gus’s place has that traditional barbershop feel, with edgier art, quality seating, a huge TV screen and a full-sized Pac Man gaming machine.

So come in for a fade, and stay for the company. Call for an appointment at 203-957-3333, or Gus’ cell at 203-981-4285, or email gussbarbershop@gmail.com
