’Twas a CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

On a beautiful Monday evening we marked another wonderful holiday season at TTD.  The community gathered at Ludlow Triangle Park to join in the festivities with delicious hot chocolate and cookies.  There was caroling with Summertime Band throughout the program.  We then had the first lighting of our new Norway Spruce, followed by a visit from Santa who arrived on a decorated TTD bucket truck.

Our 2023 Food & Toy Drive Brought Many Smiles

The toys were given to Dylan’s Army and Charlotte’s Web of Prayer. Charlotte’s Web of Prayer serves families and children all over the country, while Dylan’s Army, started by Alyssa Fortunato, serves Norwalk and Yale New Haven Hospital’s Pediatric Units. The toys and pajamas are collected and distributed to fill the toy closets of the units and given to children in need of these items while they are receiving treatment and confined to the hospital.

The food was given to Person to Person, holding true to its founding roots to serve any individual who requests their services, be it with healthy groceries at one of their food pantries or assistance from one of their trained caseworkers.  As long as there is a need, “P2P” is there to help. P2P currently serves approximately 28,000 individuals in lower Fairfield County, including the towns of Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
